I still cannot access anything. Now when I click network, neither computer shows up. Both are members of same workgroup. I can ping each pc with no problem. This is just very baffling. Leave it to me to find all the issues. Anyone?

Sergio420 - This list is excellent. Have you done all these things? Have you been tweaking any services or your firewall?

Sergio420 - This list is excellent. Have you done all these things? Have you been tweaking any services or your firewall?
Yes to all of above. I never had issues sharing with XP without password, though. I ain't sharing anything critical. I have tweaked some services based on Black Viper (Safe), I always use safe.

I think I may have found my issue. Outpost Firewall Pro 6.7 (x64). I have uninstalled it and reenabled Windows Firewall. Viola! Network access. I even had outpost in train mode. Apparently, it's not ready for Windows 7. Too bad, I bought a lifetime license, too. :-( I just hate to see it go to waste.

When network connectivity is a problem, removing (not disabling) any non-Microsoft firewall is always my first step. Glad it solved your problem.
