My LanCard Drivers got a bug.

Honestly, before you read this, I swear to god this is exactly what happened.

Hi guys! It's me. This afternoon I was downloading a windows update, for my 4850 HD and was doing some CS4 fun while at it. Suddenly my screen resolution decreased to something really low and the screen went black. Then I got that blinking underline on the top left, it's like the computer was booting up. Then the monitor refreshed and all I got was my start menu orb and the cursor. Then the cursor stopped moving and the PC crashed. First time since I bought it!
So I hit the reset button on the box and a waited for the boot. For my surprise the video-card was working perfectly. Tested my games. Aero and HD Movies? No problem! I had no Internet though. Nothing. The Lan Card is integrated, if you want to know. It blinks and it is detected by the device manager. (With a "!" though...) I tried changing the router cable, bla bla bla, nothing. Apparently it's not from my ISP, cuz I am right now posting this with my wireless.
The drivers suck. The realtek website is just... amazing. I download at less than a 2KBPS and the download gets interrupted from time to time. THAT'S 2 HRS FOR A LOUSY 50 MB. Downloading now. I also tried the CD that came with my motherboard, but the LAN drivers are only for Vista, I get an error when installing on my 7600 x64. I tried EVERYTHING, but with no avail. Lat thing I saw is that the ATI driver was not really installed, seeing it is still in the list of opinional updates. I also noticed a new addition. Here's details for it:

Microsoft driver update for Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)
    Download size: 388 KB
You may need to restart your computer for this update to take effect.
    Update type: Optional
This driver was provided by Microsoft for support of Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20)

Yea, why didn't I install it? I can't! The LAN update needs Internet itself! That's pretty dumb! Why didn't it download the update to prepare it for later while I still had net? That... is... unbelievably... stupid.

So now I'm stuck. I also looked whether there's something I can remove from "Installed Updates", but there are only 3 microsoft windows updates. Everything else is MS Office... Nothing connected with drivers or LAN.

Any ideas? I really want my Internet back!

Already fixed the problem, now writing form my personal desktop
Thanks for your quick response anyway!

I downloaded the drivers from the realtek site then I erased the ethernet adapter along with its drivers from device manager and used the "install new hardware" wizard feature to detect it again. Then I just pointed out the drivers from my FlashDrive and - there you have it! Now surfing SF from the comfort of my own chair!

One thing still remains - under the list I get a unrecognized ethernet device. It just says unknown with no info. I don't care really - I GOT MY INTERNET BAAACK!

    Thanks again Tews
