Sorry I was not trying to drop a subtle hint at all. No my NAS does not show up as a computer any more under network. I only shows up as media device and that is why I can not see all my folders on the NAS with my laptop.

Ok I tried mapping it just like you said and it is unable to find 192.168.1.100\C that is the first folder that contains everything the only other folder is usb and that’s if I have something hooked up to the NAS via usb then it will be in that folder.
No I only have the windows firewall turned on.
How do you want me to go about disabling it? Turn off the power to the NAS?
roger that ill give it a try and let you know
