Trouble staying connected with Win 7, HP, & Realtek 8188CE
Hello to y'all
I figure I'll give this posting a shot tonight and try to stay connected long enough to do so! For the past month or so, I've been experiencing some issues where my internet browsing will either not work at all, work intermittently, work fine then slow down and stop, or stop working after "waking my computer up from a short nap" - say when I go grab a snack or something.
I've tried to take as many screen shots as possible figuring they may come in handy when I eventually got around to trouble shooting the issue. It came up rather suddenly which makes me wonder what happened. The laptop still seems to work so well at other locations but not this one! Here are some of the messages I've seen:
"wireless network configuration doesn't have a valid IP configuration"
"problem with wireless adapter or access point"
"your computer appears to be correctly configured but the... (DNS server) is not responding"
"The default gateway is not available"
"The local area connection adapter is disabled"
"The wireless network connection 2 adapter is disabled"
Of course these were all on different days but the outcome is the same - no internet. Sometimes I'll get the little yellow triangle sign; others it appears to be connected but when pulling up the Network & Sharing Center screen, it will just show the laptop having connected to AT&T but not to the internet. All my drivers claim to be up to date I'm so lost. Any thoughts?
