    ROKU won't stream (wifi issue?)

Keep this simple. I have a roku and it goes through my lab top to my tv. I notice my internet goes from 15mps to 90 and stays at 40 most often. Is this causing my buffering issues with streaming live tv? I would think it be quick from my computer. Im debating returning roku for a better media box that plays avis just because I dunno how figure out whats causing the issues clearly my computer bit to slow..

Roku isn't supposed to go through a PC or laptop, it connects directly to your TV. You only do the registration online.

It requires it's own IP connection, wired or wireless just like your PC would.
