Can't leave homegroup - Windows 7
Hello,
Desktop and laptop belonged to a homegroup. Recently laptop would no longer write to printer. It could no longer connect to it.
I decided to leave the homegroup on both. I was able to leave homegroup on laptop, but not on desktop. When I attempt on desktop, I receive the error:
"Windows couldn't remove your computer from the homegroup".
Did a google search on the error message and found several hits. None seem to resolve my problem.
I have deleted file C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
Stopped service "HomeGroupProvider", but can't start it
I believe that I have followed all the steps of items I found, but cant leave the homegroup.
I would like to leave the homegroup and setup new one.
Does anyone have suggestions that will resove my problem?
Thanks
Stu
