Wireless network unstable, lag spikes, etc

I'm having issues since I started using wireless, when playing games (does not matter which, I will always get these lag spikes) where the game will freeze and treadmil (everybody will walk in spot) then unfreeze, this will happen multiple times and is very annoying, making games close to unplayable

I'd like to know why this is happening and how to fix it, it's quite urgent, thank you

What is your internet service plan, modem/router, computer, video, ram,...this really isn't a guessing game...

It has nothing to do with the computer. but I'm on rogers with a cisco router, I apologize for not listing these things.

Obviously, it concerns the hardware your computer uses to connect to the router. In the device manager, what is listed as the network adapter, and what are the capabilities of the router and channel it is set to broadcast radio frequency on?
