    Deployed Soldier Needing Help

Currently, I deployed to the Middle East. I have a Wi-Fi Connection that I am able to connect to, but I have to pay for. One of the draw backs to this is I can only conect with one device. I do not have a wired connection. Is there a way that I can connect to the internet via laptop with say another device like a nook or ipod/ipad? If more detail is needed I can provide it.

You should be able to set up a hosted wireless network to connect other wireless devices.

You can set this up using the command prompt or you can install the connectify software which makes it easier for some. The links below explains the details about setting this up.

Not that you asked, but I'd also reccomend that you install Skype. My son used it while he was deployed and it really helped him keep in touch at home. If the people you might want to talk with have internet connections, then Skype to Skype is free. If you want to call a land line or cell phone, you can buy a subcription that costs about $30 per year. It would allow you to call any US number. I think that is a pretty good deal and might serve you well.
