Consider installing MSE; it is free.

Glad that you got things going again.

You will need to enable your encryption service...wep, wpa, wpa2 and wpa2 - personal...choose the latter one. Change your log on credentials from default admin, admin, to something else. And turn off your SSID. That should do it for you.
Hi Bassfisher,

I have good wireless now. But why is it that whenever I enable SSID, my wireless stops working again? Is there a way to fix it without disabling SSID? and by "change your log on credentials from default admin, admin, to something else" did you mean that I should change my user name to log into my verizon router?

Sometimes with certain wireless adapters, once you turn off the SSID you have log back on to that network and once you've done so it will pick up the connection from that point on. Not sure why this happens just that it does. It may be some type of security feature. It happens to me on my Samsung laptop and all other wireless devices connected to my network. When I turn the SSID on and off.

So for this laptop, there wouldn't be a way to connect to wireless without disabling SSID. I guess it's not so bad other than that itd be a little annoying for my parents who aren't so savvy with computers haha. OKay thanks so much
