Hi,i seem to have a prob bu:t in sure 1 of u have a answer.i have a cell zte n762. With internet.i connlect and can create hot spot.i get the net via wifi on my pc and LG cell.however my laptop ((up g4 windows 7 conecTed but can't open any w
eb pages.but laptop works perfectly on wifi at coffee shop. Any ideas? Thanks

His Phone doesn't need to be rooted hot spot is a general function
You should try the Blue tooth and make a name through that it will roconize it immediatly and provide you with a way to use the hot spot
Also you might want to look for a app that might play a little nicer for the hot spot
I have a ZTE Avid mine shows you can use Blue tooth or USB connection for hot spot meaning physical usb connection
I would do it though bluetooth because when your on Wifi it will pick it up
