    Can't Delete Mapped Drive-New Thread

Windows 7 Home Premium - fully updated.
I mapped a drive Z: and disconnected it but it still appears. Nothing I have tried works. I have looked at ALL the threads in this forum. They all looked promising. None of them worked.
I have tried net use many times (with everything else closed down) as follows:

    net use z: /delete
    net use \\sharename\Users
    net use z: \\sharename\Users /delete
    net use z: \\sharename\Users * /delete ( ie.I passworded the map)
    net use z: \\sharename\Users myactualpassword /delete

I have wandered in the registry as one post suggested deleting the suggested items in that post.

Yes I rebooted after net use. Yes I used the actual sharename not \\sharename\Users.

    Nada. Nada. Nada.

    Anyone????

Is my net use syntax correct for a passworded map

The last three posts in the thread below show ways to fix this problem by going into the registry.

    chev65,

Thanks for the info but these were not useful. I looked at the registry and mine does not have anything in
HKCU\Network even though I have 2 mapped drives active. These are the drives that I attmpted to disconnect through the MSFT interface in Start>Computer.

    Anyone else?
