Wireless Directory Refresh

I have Avaya 1G switches and just installed Brocade 650 wireless access points
for wifi in our school building. I have assigned one static ip address for the router to access our wired network, with the router then assigning ip's through DHCP. All works, however, students can access the network, surf to the web with ease, but in accessing network directories they are unable to do it consistently.
Connected directories frequently refreshing themselves, making for inability for the student to access
info from that directory. I know the server is probably seeing many laptops with the same ip address, but can
I change something to alleviate this problem. Server is Win 2008, with students using Latitude 6430
with Win 7 Pro.

I'm not sure why the directory's would keep refreshing but why would the connected laptops be using the same IP address when the router's DHCP should be handling all that.

The individual wifi router is attached to the wired network using a static IP address. The wifi router gives out DHCP addresses .The network recognizes this address and I am assuming that all the laptops are coming back to the server appearing as the static IP address of the router. I am only hypothesizing on this situation looking for answers. But I just read in another thread thatwindows 7 has a problem attaching to wifi and staying connected when on battery time.

I would allow DHCP from the main router to be the only DHCP server on this network.

Rather than messing with static IP's just let the main router hand out an IP to the access points to avoid the IP overlap problem.
