This was supposed to be a question coming from me.
I can't understand why the ipconfig /allcompartments show that one is not set for DHCP. Any thoughts on this?
See what happens if you change the AV Server's DHCP to Auto IPs. Please let us know.

Hi 2xg, are you asking that the static IP address be changed to an auto or dynamic address? I'll do that but didn't want to change the assigned address unless needed. I gave it that address to solve some conflict problems with other nodes on the LAN. Let me know and I'll change it. Is that changed in the TCP/IPv4 properties window, "general"? change from specific to "auto"? Thanks!

I've been trying to figure out why the /allcompartments results show DHCP - No when the settings have been changed as required. So far no solution but i'll keep looking. If said if static address set then set Net Bios over DHCP and I did that without resulting change in DHCP - NO.

I apologize for the tardiness as I have been not feeling so well....

Just to clarify your previous statement, you've tried changing the LAN settings to DHCP and it's on reverting back to Static? How to Configure DHCP in Windows 7

Thanks 2xg, sorry to hear you're under the weather. That's been my problem for the past month also....a bummer. I followed your request to go back to a dynamic IP address for that server and immediately caused an address conflict which had been my problem in the first place. So now i've not been able yet to change the adapter settings back because of a remote control issue. My AV server is located in a remote closet and I've had to use an air-mouse-keyboard to control it from watching the tv screen but somehow that has crapped out and now i"ve got to use a wireless mouse and keyboard to change the settings. Normally when the Server is networked I can control it using a great app from an outfit called Radmin to control it from my tablet or desktop or laptop but now it's not on the LAN so I'm back to the old direct method. As soon as I can fix this I'll follow the link you gave me and try the DHCP procedure again and find out why it has been such a mystery. Thanks again!
