psexec access is denied

    psexec access is denied


    Hi Guys I know there's probably a lot of these on these forums but when i type in the command

    psexec \\computername cmd it says access is denied

    I am running cmd as admin and havn't tried anything else,
    i'm not very good with cmd so would someone please help?

    You need to supply username and password.

    Doesn't seem to be working either

    I am now typing in cmd psexec \\computername -u username -p password cmd

    but as i said still not working

    try running it with the -s switch so that it runs under the system account and see if it works. it would look like this:

    psexec \\computername -s cmd
      My Computer

    psexec will only work on computers that are on the same domain as you, if you don't have a domain set up then psexec is uselss.

    I'm guessing your probably in a home situation with multiple computers, so here is a nice tutorial on how to set up a home network that doesn't require expensive hard ware or expensive server software:

    Homegroup - Create
