In all reality its pointless to hide your SSID. If someone wants to see your SSID its not hard to figure out how to see a hidden one. With your SSID broadcasting with WPA2 and a strong password no novice will get into your wireless signal.
Updated the drivers, same problem. I then reflashed the router with new firmware and reset all the settings.
I then tried to connect with no security on the router and the laptop connects. I then changed the SSID to "Stevens" and then tried to connect. This is when the laptop asked what type of network this was (home, work, public). I chose home, it then connected. Then I changed security to WPA2-PSK and left SSID to broadcast. The laptop then asked for a password when trying to connect, I input the password and the laptop now connects to the router with security settings enabled. I also tried other devices in the house and they all work (I used the same settings as last night so I didn't have to change the other devices).
I have no idea why it didn't ask what type of connection it was yesterday.
