Zone alarm seems to cause nothing but problems. If you don't want sharing problems I suggest that you uninstall it completly. After that, follow the directions in my last post.

Okay I have have a issue with connecting to xp to win7 machines. My laptop is windows XP and I have it setup as the internet gateway to where my desktop connects to the internet thru my xp machine. I got my windows 7 desktop sharing working with the xp machine but the issue I am having is I go a new laptop with window 7 and I have tried to connect it to the network, it does not see my xp laptop, xp desktop or windows 7 desktop. When I try to ping the ip address of all the machines it will not ping, but I can connect wireless thru the laptop to the internet but not to the networks.
