I'm not sure what could have gone wrong. I've added a video to the post:
Default Gateway Not Available and/or DNS Server Not Responding
Please see if that helps.
Sure...
Open a cmd prompt window and type in
ipconfig/all (with or without a space before the /all part)
Then post screenshots so that we can see each part.
You can also try replacing the path to the txt file with any complete path that you want.
Then you will want to open Internet Explorer...
...put 192.168.1.254 into the address bar
...press enter
Let us know the manufacturer and model number of the router. Then we might be able to tell you what screen to look for
to change the Wi-Fi channel.
And back on this post, the IP address of the router is 192.168.1.254.
The goal of those two files was to ping the router and to ping some computer beyond the router.
You are not alone with web pages not loading:
Motorola NVG510 help page for AT&T U-Verse users | Ron Berman @ Haas
There are instruction on how to get the manual as a PDF. I'll try to look at that when I can. In the mean time, see if you can follow the info in the link above to surf to the router/modem interface.
