Pretty sure we covered the driver about 6 pages back.

I would have done the clean install 5 pages back if it were up to me.

OK sorry I missed it. I will do the reinstall and hopefully, won't have to bother you again. Thank you all for your patience and perseverance.

Sorry but how do you scan for new devices?? Noob when it comes to windows 7!

If its scan for new hardware, thats what I did previously. Uninstalled the driver via device manager, you then get an unknown networking device in the tree. I then updated the driver for that device by going to the Inf file.
sorry - it should be scan for new hardware as you figured out.

let us know how things go with the clean install.

I have a z585 running windows 8. It has had the same problem all day but I think I found a solution that will work for both of us. First you need to uninstall the Broadcom wireless adapter from the add remove programs. Make sure that you are only removing the program and not the driver. Then after you uninstall the program go to your power settings and go to advanced power settings. Scroll Down to wireless adapter and from the drop down menu make sure that it is set to maximum performance. That should take care of your issue.
