    A problem on browsing.

    Legend:
A - a router which is in the neighbor's house
B - an ethernet cable which is connected from the router into the cpu's socket.
C - an ethernet cable which is connected from the cpu's socket into the laptop's socket
    D - a laptop

Now my problem is that in (D) i can't open some sites such as facebook/yahoomail etc. it says "This webpage is not available". Ican open some like youtube google sevenforums etc. But when i use (B) to my laptop, there seems no problem opening sites. My question is where the problem lies, and how to fix this? A help would be appreciated. Thank you.

In order to share the internet between the PC and the laptop you need to enable ICS. This will make your PC act as a second router and put your laptop on the subnet 192.168.137.x by default.

Let me explain it a little for you turbonis.

ICS works by turning the PC into a router, in order for the PC to act like a router with another router on the network it needs to be on a different subnet. By default Microsoft decided to use 192.168.137.x. meaning that the IP address of your laptop will probably be 192.168.137.2. Windows XP used a different address and i cant think of it off the top of my head.
