Dont know how to connect my netbook to computer

I have a wireless D-Link wireless router and I want to connect it to a netbook so that the netbook can go online too, but I just dont know how to do it. The netbook is asking me for a baud rate setting, or just saying unconnected. My computer is windows 7 and the netbook is Win CE 6, so I cant create a home group network. Can anyone help pls? Attach my ipconfig

Quartzy, welcome to the windows 7 forum.

If your netbook is asking you for the baud rate, then it is trying to setup a modem which baud rate is part of the setup. Does the netbook have an ethernet port or a wireless card?

there is the possibility that the wireless port on your netbook is powered off and that would be a good reason for not connecting. I suggest that you take a look at the properties for your wireless port and see if the Power is turned off.

The ipconfig is from your working computer, not the netbook or at least that's what it looks like to me.

Go into the win ce control panel and check out the wireless adapter.

Without a ethernet driver and connection. ipconfig won't do much for you.
does the netbook have a wireless card?

If that is something that you add to the netbook, then no.

Quartzy, most laptops and notebooks today come with wireless access. You might want to read the instructions that came with your netbook. I bet it has wireless.. If it doesn't then you are most likely out of luck.

Yes, it has a wi-fi power thing on the desktop that I have turned on. And on the window it shows that the wi-fi is not loaded fully.

quartzy, the wifi adapter has to have the drivers installed. You might take a look at your wifi in programs to see if there is some option to start it up. Also you have to have a wifi signal with authorization to be able to connect.
