How do i install IPV6 on Windows 7 ?
Hi,
when i try to create a homegroup i get an error message saying that IPV6 must be enabled.
In the NIC properties IPV6 is ticked, but the Install button is also available so something is obviously broken.
I want to install it but i don't know where to browse to on my Windows DVD to find the protocol installation files, and searching jsut brought up lots of people with homegroup problems and no solutions.
It's odd that it's enabled without being installed, i think i may have run a program that uninstalled it or removed it from the stack or something.
I have already checked the DisabledComponents registry key, which is always zero and survives a restart, so i know that no other program is resetting it at boot time.
I have also made sure that :
- Peer Networking Grouping
- PNRP Machine Name Publication Service
are starting automatically.
I just need to know where the .inf files or whatever are on the DVD.
Any help greatly appreciated :)
Cheers,
