None of my browsers allow me to access the device (Connected by utp 45)using the normal procedure of 192.168.1.1 - ! Get "webside not accessible" both in chrome and explorer.

Are using the same hardware that worked with win xp

    What can be wrong!!

Is there a cable going from the Modem to the router plugged into WAN? ( I know it sounds like a stupid question )

You want to have the Cable going to the PC on the port LAN1 on the router. Have another cable going from the router to the modem plugged into WAN on the router.

I am not using the router as internetaccesspoint - , it is only ment to be a hub between my pc and my internal wireless network!
The pc is connected to the internet via a wireless mobile connection - a connection I want all other devices in the house to use for access to the net.
This setup worked without problems on my former XP platform!
