I am with Parman on this one

I agree with Parman. My defauly gateway is the same IP address of a VPN connection and therefore the traffic gets confused. It used to be the same subnet, but on the end I could change (my own) I changed the subnet hoping to correct this, but the "and'ing" process still has trouble with the destination.

I really believe if you change one end to a different network using different numbers you should not have the problems your having. As you know, you should be able to get internet as well as shared resources via VPN.

Perhaps when you changed your end to the suggestion, the router you were leaving from still had like numbers as the destination? Really, I probably did not read all of the information and I could be way off base, but I felt like I knew enough to help and thus created the needed account to put in two-cents that might help.

Are you in the same house?

You need to change it on your router. Then your dhcp server if your using one or go to each PC and change the IP address and default gateway.

I'm just curious if ICS is enabled on the laptop?

I believe you have to have ICS enabled in order to have a connection while using a VPN.

    ICS and VPN connections

If you create a virtual private network (VPN) connection on your host computer to a corporate network and then enable ICS on that connection, all Internet traffic is routed to the corporate network and all of the computers on your home network can access the corporate network. If you don't enable ICS on the VPN connection, other computers will not have access to the Internet or corporate network while the VPN connection is active on the host computer.

    hi every body
first thanks for every body posted here and special thanks to chev65
anyway the problem solved partially using Nat-settings NOT ics but anyway thanks chev65 for bringing that on as if you didn't i wouldn't go that far
why i said partially because now my Internet go through the VPN not through my router which is a little bit annoying but at least i will have internet while i am connected to the vpn why annoying is because the vpn as every body know is slower than your actual router , again thanks everybody for helping me and if there is any more suggestions to direct the internet in my laptop not to go through the vpn to go through the router i will appreciate that ,
if anybody reading this and want me to help him by telling him what i did please post here and i will try to take pictures and post here .
now for the expert what shell i do shell i keep the post opened or shell i close it and open another one for directing the internet from your vpn to your actual router (which is-not the server router )

thanks every body and special thanks for chev65
