I took a look through the CBS log and found an endless litany of lines saying "Failed to internally open package" followed by the normal hexadecimal techno-babble. There are numerous INVALID PACKAGE messages in the mix. I haven't really taken the time to look through a GOOD CBS log to see if this is normal but it doesn't seem as if it is. There is so much information in here and I'm not really sure which sections apply or what I can glean from all of this. I would be inclined to say that this is a corrupt installation though.

    Your thoughts?

Then a repair install is probably the best option at this stage since you have numerous issues that cannot be fixed.
