I would give the 15.45 version a try from my post above. They work for me.

Umm. Have you already double checked all your settings in Windows 7 to allow for remote connections like they are in the Windows 7 that it works in to see if something there may not be right?

What message does it give you when your try to connect?

Checked the settings against an 2nd (and 3rd) computer and they are the same.

    Message attached.

    I think I've sussed it !!

After reading this Microsft KB relating to Windows 2008, I turned off auto-logon, and I can now connect without any problems !!

I had problems in the past with auto-login, and the only way I could get it to work, was to put control userpasswords2 into a batch (.bat) file and then run it as Administrator.

Gonna have to have a play around now to try and get a happy medium, as my other 3 computers running WIndows 7 all have auto-logon enabled, so I'm at a loss to explain this one.

I have always used the Remote Desktop Connection (C:\Windows\system32\mstsc.exe) shortcut in the Start Menu with it setup to log on automatically after clicking on Connect. I pinned it to the taskbar to make it easier to connect.

As a test, you might see if creating a new administrator account in Windows 7 with auto logon turned on for that account to see if you have any issues doing a RDC to the ASRock. Hopefully it is only an issue isolated to your old account.
