    Problems accessing libraries via homegroup

Hello all, I would appreciate as much help as I can get with this problem. It has been driving me nuts for a few days. Ill start by explaining the problem.

When I try to access the libraries on my laptop (user account independent) from my desktop via homegroup, the libraries never load. The desktop displays my laptop under homegroup in windows explorer, but instead of displaying the normal icons for the libraries, a generic icon is shown. I have attached a screen shot of what i am explaining. My laptop can access the libraries on the desktop with no problem, it just doesnt work going the other way.

I have run the homegroup trouble shooter on both computers and no problems could be found. I left the homegroup on my laptop and then rejoined; the problem still persists. I have turned off my firewall to see if it was causing the problem, but with the firewalls turned off on both computers the problem still persists. I have right clicked on the libraries and share with - homegroup read/write. I dont know what else to do.

Again, I would appreciate any help with this, thanks in advance!

Check if your Advanced Sharing Settings allow others to access via HomeGroup.
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings

Also check the HomeGroup setup settings to see if the items you require are enabled.

Do you have any Antivirus installed?

Well I got it to work. After much fiddling, I realized that the clocks on the two machines were off by about 45 seconds. the problem still persisted after I fixed it, but after establishing a new homegroup and sharing with both "Homegroup-Read" and "Specific People: Everybody-Read" I got it to work. Thanks much though!
