Network Conenction Hangs PC on Startup

    Hello everyone!
I had to re-install Windows 7 recently. Everything went smooth and is working great although there is one issue.

When my PC starts, My network icon freezes, making my PC sluggish for about 30 seconds. It is quite an odd problem, hard to explain as well. So my PC will start up but until the blue circle (loading) is unfrozen from the icon, i can't open apps, steam, Mozilla etc. and then when it 'unfreezes' everything i clicked opens up real fast.

I am connected via Ethernet. My boot drive is a 120gb SSD.
    I have 16Gb Corsair vengeance, gtx 680 and an i7 3820.

    Thanks Guys!!

Are you sure you grabbed the right network drivers for your motherboard/NIC after reinstall? Check Device Manager and see if there's any warnings. Does this problem happen when booting from Safe Mode?

It says everything is working properly in Device Manager.

Okay, so I re-installed Windows 7 a few days ago, all was good. Suddenly, it started happening again! I re-installed my Ethernet drivers to be sure.

I noticed something though. Just before i installed some Asus utilities, restarted my PC, and that is when it started happening again. I quickly uninstalled the Asus utilities (i don't really need them at all) but the problem persists.

Any help is appreciated, this is driving me up the wall!!

Well if you reinstalled your OS and the drivers, then I'm not sure it can be software related. I don't know what pertains within the Asus Utility and how it can affect your system. Would you happen to have a PCI NIC card laying around or maybe obtain one from a friend?

I've created a simple batch script that will gather more details system information (see attached). You can either run that or you could use the Seven Forums debugging tool (which is just a more fancy/advanced version but initially the same thing). Zip up the file it creates and send it our way.
