Folders are shared but contents have lock icon

I have shared a photo folder ("FUJI"), and also the folders within it. One of these folders might be "Flower garden", and then there are individual photos in that folder. The FUJI and Flower garden folders are shared, and there are no padlock icons on them. However, the individual photo files within the Flower garden folder all have padlock icons on them. This is the same for all the sub-folders in the main FUJI folder. I can go ahead and open each subfolder, select all the photos and then change the share to 'everyone', which takes a little time depending on how many there are, and then the padlocks are removed. But this takes a lot of time. Is there a way to just select all the subfolders and have the sharing changed for all their contents?

Only one user. I have set sharing to everyone.
