    I can't get TS3 server to work

so far, i have port forwarded the ports i need, and also read the the port 9987 needs to be with the UDP protocol, so i changed that. So far, I cant get my server to show up anywhere and no one can connect to it. I am very new to this, so is it the IP i used when i typed in the address the server will be at when i got the license or my actual external IP? (that sounded really dumb, considering it has the words server and adress right by each other, but i can't seem to get it to work.) I'm doing all of this so i can start up a guild in guild wars 2. So I'd really appreciate some help. :)

If you want others to be able to connect to the server, and you have infact forwarded your ports you need to give them the external IP of the server. also you want to be sure that the servers IP address is set to a static IP not a dynamic and last you want to ensure that any firewall you might have is not blocking incoming/outgoing traffic on the port that you are using.

I did everything in that list i think except make a static IP.. however, is there any way to see the server adress once im logged in? then ill know what people connect to, since i only type localhost

Make you have the IP address for yourself set to localhost so that you can join. The three ports you need to open are; 99987, 10011, and 30033,

    Teamspeak 3 Server Ports

Then you need to give your external/WAN IP to those you want to connect. You can find it by mousing over the server icon in the systray or by going here,

    This site should also help,

Port Forwarding Guides Listed by Manufacturer and Model - PortForward.com

select your make and model of router from the dropdpwn lists on the left, and then select TS3 from the games/apps list.
