Can't share folder's on homegroup anymore

Hey I'm having a problem with sharing folder's on homegroup.
I have a desktop connected to my TV and used mainly as a media center everything is fine on that I have about 10 folder's shared on home group that I can access no problem but on my laptop I have one folder(downloads) shared with a long time but I moved a lot of files to two folders one for movies and one for TV shows and when I click "share with" in the drop down box there is a picture of a lock beside "Nobody" and when I select "Homegroup (Read/Write) or Homegroup(Read)" it dose nothing and the folder still isn't shared and the lock is still there.
I have tired "specific people" and selected all the options there but still the same problem.

    Extra Info:
Both computers are running windows 7 and connected to the same router the only thing I have noticed is that on the laptop that I'm having the problem is that the default folders that are shared(picture, library, etc) aren't shared. Both accounts are admin's and the only profiles on each computer.

If you need any more info just let me know

It sounds like the sharing permissions aren't set correctly from what you are saying here.

You should make sure that the C:>Users folder is shared out through the Sharing tab on both machines.

This setting will override any other share settings in folders that reside inside the C:>Users folder, so it this isn't set correctly then none of the Users folders will be shared out. :)
