    hello, thanks for reading, hope you can help!

    my zoostorm laptop powered down with no warning - no bsod, no dialogue - just black screen. it rebooted as normal and all systems appear fine except for wireless networking. adapter appears to be functioning but does not detect networks. i have not recently installed any new software or meddled with any settings.

    laptop is Zoostorm Laptop - Laptops | Ebuyer.com running win7 ultimate 64
    (i5 3210m, 16gb, 1tb, intel hd4000)
    network card is a realtek rtl8723ae-bt

    i have:
    connected to network with other devices;
    rebooted laptop;
    checked wireless fn key;
    disabled/uninstalled anti-virus and firewall;
    confirmed adapter is present in device manager;
    uninstall/reinstall network card;
    exhausted (useless) windows diagnostics - see log below
    installed new drivers (Download Realtek RTL8723AE Driver v.2002.1.1201. Realtek RTL8723AE)

    and am now at a loss... please help!

After all the lights on the device are off, wait at least 10 seconds. 3. Turn the device back on or plug it back into the power outlet. To restart a router or access point that has a built-in battery, press and quickly release the Reset button.

    So after days of trying everything short of factory reset I gave up last night, resigned myself to the treacherous route of manufacturer warranty repair and left it still not working. This morning still nothing. Just turned it on and everything is working normally. Strange world we live in.
