Take a look at this thread. You could try using the CMD commands on that folder. Are you part of a workgroup or homegroup on your network?

That seems like a very serious action to take for such a simple problem...I can't guarantee a format will solve this issue. I would hold off on that until you've exhausted all other options.

So I'm a little confused at how you're seeing this shared folder? You were talking about your LED TV so is that connected to another computer? Or are you just using the LED TV built-in menu's to access them? What I'm getting at is the share could be cached on your TV. First thing I would try is to turn off your TV, unplug it and wait a few minutes and restart it.

Can you access the contents of that 'restore' folder on your TV when you have it unshared on your PC? Try moving the folder to a different location.

ok on the led tv and also on a dune hd player connected to my network computer in hallway i had before shared restore folder to tv but not hd player. Now when i went to unshare, i can click on folder at tv, it says not connected to network. I see what you mean on cache but i had restored tv to factory reset, folder still shows, and on the hd player it shows, i then went again to share it and check the hd player only certain folders within that folder show, i had called the hd player company and they said its a security permission not set up correctly since only partial shows up. So i un shared again, still the same. Like its stuck showing that folder, very annoying.

Restoring to Factory Defaults could just reset the settings. It probably won't reset the memory.
