I've just received my new Billion 7404VXPN and have set it up. Woohoo! The problem is fixed. Each computer can see the other's shares no matter how long they've been on, and the computer without the printer can now print to the printer that's on the other computer even after everything's been on for a few hours. Before it would have needed a reboot of the router for that to happen.

Thanks again for all the help

Glad to hear it's all good!

Given the symptoms, it was always going to be the previous router
