    bands of wireless connection

i read that if the connection is slow , one can try to change or upgrade the band of operation ie if it is 2.5 GHz let it be 5 GHz ...

first let me finish the doubt of the nature of electromagnetic wave .... i went through many definitions which state almost that its a wave contains magnetic and electric component right angle to each other and to the direction of propagation . Can i say that when magnetic field interacts - mingles - overlaps with electric filed then the resultant field is called an electromagnetic filed or electromagnetic wave , that is my pending point can i say that ?

how wireless communication ie laptop net goes through specific frequency band and how that band gets jam ? can some one break down these issues ?

You may have a nearby router that is on the same channel, which is different than band. This can cause a conflict called cross talk which will interfere with both. On the wireless router you use, try changing the channel to 1, 6, or 11.
