how to access to the net by lan ip

My "work" pc is connecting to a server ,I cant access to the internet or to the router "The Cisco 2911 Integrated Services Router"
I have the lan ip and the wlan too ,I saw they wrote "lan 192.168.1.1/20" but I didn't understand what are they meaning by 1/20 ?
How to connect to the router ? or the internet ?

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

Can you please give us a more detail explanation of you're trying to accomplish?

Who are you pointing to? Whose 'they'? Is this from your work? I assume it is because of the router, seems to be provided by an ISP. Are you an employee that's having an issue connecting to the internet or router? Are you part of the IT Department?
I saw they wrote "lan 192.168.1.1/20"

Could you please follow the first part of this tutorial and show me your ipconfig settings. We need a better understanding of your network settings before we can propose a solution.

    Network Posting Tips

NOTE: Please ignore the flushdns file and just upload the command prompt information.

Also what does your server do? Is it an domain controller? (Active Directory)

    Many Thanks,
    Josh! :)

Please verify.......You meant you're an employee? Usually if this is a work computer you would ask assistance from your IT Department or an IT Consultant.

Perhaps your IT Dept set a policy in your company and they are the only one that can help you.

I agree with 2xg you need to go to your I.T.Department. If you I.T.Department want you or the computer you are using to have personel access to the internet they can set it up for you. We will not help you work around the rules your I.T.Department has set.
Please read our rules and pay attention to rule
