Can SEE PC on MAC but not other way around

Have sharing turned on on both.

Can access the MAC from the PC but can access PC from Mac.
I think this person, me, needs baby steps.

Windows 7 and Mac Leopard 10.5.5
    Thx

I'm not sure I understand. I have a Mac and PC, and my Win 7 PC doesn't show up on the Mac by browsing, but the shares show up when I do a "Go to Server" with smb://skip-PC, and I've been able to print to my printer attached to my PC. I also can backup my Mac with SuperDuper! to a sparse image on a network share, but... Under XP, SD could connect to share without assistance from the peanut gallery; under Win 7, I need to explicitly create the connection manually.

Sounds like you and I need to share some info...

Reviving this old thread because I can't see my Mac from Win7 either. Works fine from Vista and XP.

I too have to use the Cmnd-K trick to see the Win7 machine.

Have you turned off password protected sharing on Windows 7?

How would that affect not being able to see the Mac from Win7?

I also cannot see the mac from 7. I have noticed though, I am unable to get Network Discovery to stay on. Every time click "Turn on Network Discovery" then click the save changes, and then click advanced sharing settings, it is off again...so maybe that is part of the problem?
