Dependency service or group failed to start??HELP

    Hi
I have a HP Pavilion g6 laptop and last night, after restarting it when the screen froze, it claimed that "no connections are available" when it was connected only minutes ago. I opened the Network and Sharing Center and where the Network Map should be, it says 'unknown' with the words "the dependency service or group failed to start" underneath. I've resulted to using my IPhone to find solutions and I followed a thread on this website that spoke of my same problem but midway through I got stuck once again. I've done the sfc /scannow on the command prompt and it found no problems or violations. I've noticed that a number of the services listed in that thread have stopped and it won't allow me to start them. Since that thread is pretty old I'm creating my own. I'm freaking out so please can someone help ASAP???!!!

Here's a link to the thread for reference::

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

I have posted in that Thread. I'd try a System Restore and choose a restore point when your computer was able to connect to the internet. This is easier task to start with and see if it helps, if not please follow all the suggestions in that Thread that I have posted.

    An update will be appreciated.
