That shouldn't touch Firefox . Try it again with Revo Uninstaller .
Maybe there were some important files that were bolded? I did delete all of them (the bold terms).
The bold items have to do with the Dr.Web software . Make sure you scan for left over files and folders and delete the bold items by selecting Select All and click on Delete .
Well uninstalling Dr.Web worked this time!
The internet connection problem persists, however.
I was adjusting my start-up services earlier when I noticed that there was one called WinHttp Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service. I didn't disable it though.
Also, I was playing around with command prompt and noticed that WinHttp imports its proxy source from ie, as you can see in the screen shot attached. Is there a command that can change import settings to those FireFox uses?
netsh winhttp import proxy source=....
Enter Proxy Settings in Firefox - wikiHow
Take a look at the link above . Make sure No proxy is checked .
I don't want to change FireFox's settings though, I want to change my system's proxy settings..
Firefox settings are now set to No Proxy, but Google and IE and Steam are still unable to access the network...
Check the settings for Google Chrome and IE . Might want to check the settings for steam as well .
what am I checking for? Internet Connection Settings are set to "Automatically detect settings." I just found out that I can't connect to my Telus router through internet explorer or chrome either.
