Sorry for the delay...
Tried MSE too, didn't catch anything the other applications missed. I've noticed something: the outages happen after the computer starts, maybe 2 minutes after Windows loads. The internet may go down at a random time after this but it always goes down after the computer starts up. Again, Skype continues to work. Borrowed my friend's tablet to see if that would connect during an outage (via wireless router). It too was affected but came back online at the time time my PC did. |

Sounds like a power setting in the router . Did you check the settings in your router ? What is the model of your router ?

Router is a D-Link, DIR-655. Nothing appears to be wrong with the router but I've submitted a support ticket.
My ISP has not been helpful. Tried asking them, just get run-around answers. If you've got any more ideas, that would be great. In the meantime I'll be pestering D-Link and my ISP. Will post a follow-up if they can't/won't help. |

Try using Google at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 And removing AVG completely would be the first thing, yes I say this from experience. |
