Well i tried RDPing from my w7 machine to my friend's which is Xp running and it's fine. This was at work and we have not launched our VPN software due to the fact that we are both already on the work vlan at work. I am now asking for a machine that i can RDP to whilst at home and using our VPN software. But i won't be able to test this till i get home lol.

Did you find a solution?

I have the same problem. I have 3 computers on the same network, one running windows 7 and the other two running XP SP3. I can RDC from win 7 machine to one of the XP machines fine, but not the other one.

I've double checked RDC settings, windows updates, and router/firewall settings but nothing has worked.
