That's because your problem is dns lookups.
    Have you restarted your computer?

What's your output from "nslookup" then "google.se"

I've restarted more times than I can count at this point yeah. Just did it right now, no changes.

    nslookup gives me the following.
    "Default Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com"
    "Address: 8.8.8.8"

Just typing google.se gives me this.

    > google.se
    Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
    Address: 8.8.8.8

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: google.se
    Addresses: 2607:f8b0:400a:801::1017
    184.150.182.182
    184.150.182.157
    184.150.182.173
    184.150.182.162
    184.150.182.148
    184.150.182.152
    184.150.182.172
    184.150.182.168
    184.150.182.187
    184.150.182.163
    184.150.182.167
    184.150.182.178
    184.150.182.177
    184.150.182.153
    184.150.182.183
    184.150.182.158

    Pinging gets me the following
"Ping request could not find host google.se. Please check the name and try again.

I'm afraid it does not work. Firefox still gets "Server not found" and IE can't load the page either.

Try to turn off your firewall and a/v (don't forget to turn it on again). try
Install virtualbox and make a windows 7 machine using hosted network and try to connect. If this not work I don't know :/
The last thing would be a clean install of windows 7 :/

I hope someone can find an other solution for this problem.
