Win 7 Clean install - Can not connect to the internet

    Hello folks,

I have Acer Aspire 5740 laptop and I just changed the HDD to 1TB SSHD (It came with 320GB HDD). I wanted to have clean copy of Windows 7, so I got retail copy of Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and installed.

Now that the OS is installed, I am not able to connect the internet. It does not accept my correct wi-fi password or direct cable connection (from the router). Under device manager, I see following exclamation marks.

I wonder which drivers do I need? The drivers are available at Acer | Download.

The OS is not yet activated.

    Thanks in advance.

I am sorry, what does that mean? Is there any other driver that I can use? In other words, how do I connect to the internet. Once I connect then I can use Acer's own application to search and install drivers automatically.

Plus, other thing is, many of the drivers on Acer's website are not executables but bunch of dlls and stuff. So I am clueless on how to install them.

    Thanks for all your help.

I figured that the problem was not with either of these drivers. It was with Atheros AR5B93 Wireless Network Adapter drivers. There was no exclamation sign on that one. As I got the drivers going really at random, as soon as I installed these drivers, it connected to the internet.

Thanks again for all your help.
