How to Create network using Tethered Phone

I am attempting to use my tethered phone to set up a home network that my whole family can use until the cable guy can get here in a couple of weeks. I have a router sitting next to me I assumed I would be able to use... However no such tutorial exists online.

I have tried Creating an Adhoc network, but I have no idea how to get that created network to actually appear to other computers, let alone somehow grant that network access to my USB tethered phone. Next I tried bridging the phone connection with the LAN connection to the router... I didn't work at first, and then after I fiddled for a while I started getting an error "An unexpected error occurred while configuring the Network Bridge". I have no idea what to do. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
