I don't know about streaming, but you can use openssh on a jailbroken Ipad to transfer files to and from an Ipad to your computer using a free tool such as WinSCP.

    Hi there
Don't know about IPADS but streaming video FROM a smartphone TO a PC is relatively simple -- note I assume you want to stream FROM the smartphone . Note also if you have a 32 GB micro sdHC card in the phone you can play local video in the phone and stream it too.

Note it makes use of that "Jack of all trades" the EXCELLENT VLC player -- you can get the version for android FREE too. Follow the link to see how it is all set up.

For video streaming to things like social media sites GOOGLE a bit - I never bother with that although it's possible.

For AUDIO streaming FROM PC to PHONE install SQUEEZEPLAYER for android (also on the PC have Free Logitech Media server and the Squeezeplayer installed in the PC).

It should work the other way around too but I haven't found any use for streaming Audio FROM PHONE to PC.

    Cheers

Skydrive desktop on computers and Skydrive app for ipad-iphone works okay,
Pretty much all you need to do is upload to skydrive with the ipad app,
Although the mov files the ipad produces is somewhat iffy because windows gets confused with the which way is up/ Portrait or Landscape.
But what the heck it's free and has 7 gig's of free storage.
All of these free services are apart of this download/ the only prerequisite is a free Hotmail.com or outlook.com email address,

Yes the App is called the Air Video Server, install this video server to your Windows 7 machine.

Then install the Air Video App on your iPad. The paid version looks best at 2.99.

This App looks pretty darn cool to me with links to the Apps at the bottom of the page.

The Directions in the link look simple enough. :)
