    Unzip the folder .
Right-click on the Zip file and choose Extract All
Choose a location for the folder to be extracted into
If you checked "Show extracted files when complete", the files or folders within the Zip folder appear. If you unchecked the box, a folder or file with the same name (without the Zip) should appear.
This folderwill be your working copy of the data from the Zip file.
You may keep the Zip file or delete it.

Double click on the .exe file inside the folder ( without the zipper on it )

When you go to Device Manager do you see any symbols ?

To go to Device Manager . Right click on Computer and select Manage then click on Device Manager on the left hand side

no.. none.. I opened device manager everything is there(batteries, display adapters and such) except the network adapter section.. so I don't see the symbol.. however when I click 'show hidden devices', I see the network adapter section there & when I expand it, that symbol cannot be seen either.. instead it shows 'Microsoft ISATAP adapter', 'WAN miniport...'

I think I deleted the network.. Accidental delete perhaps because I wanted to remove something else and not the wifi..

Remove the Ethernet cable from the laptop make sure your wifi is enabled either by a button on the side or on the front of your laptop . Or by the Fn+F2 buttons then go to the icon with the little bar graph on the sys tray by your time on the taskbar and see if you see your network name listed . If you do click on it and click on the Connect button input password for the network and see if you could login .
