Wireless Adapter Will See Network Connection, but Won't Connect

Hi. I use my PS3 controller to play games. I had it hooked up to play a game and then my PC froze. This caused a physical memory dump. After this my wireless network card would see my network but would not connect to it. I can connect to it wired, and other computers in the house can connect to it wirelessly, but this computer refuses to do so. I have checked the device manager and there are no exclamation points. I have also checked to be sure the device is not disabled and it is not. I have also reset the router several times as well as rebooting and shutting down the PC. I have been using the wireless connection for about 8 months now so I don't understand why it isn't working now. Please let me know any info you need from me to get this working again. Thanks.

I would try and re-install the driver as a first step, or have you tried this already?

Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

Can you follow the above and upload your Minidump files so that a BSOD analyst can review it find the potential cause.

Please do not create a new thread and upload the ZIP folder here, I will request someone to look at it hopefully :)

    Many Thanks,
    Josh :)

    Hi whyme6181, welcome to 7F! :)

Your .dmp points to the Playstation (PS) DS_3 Tool.exe driver, and it is having problems with one of the .NET Framework's you have on your machine, it's not being specific.

But before we get too far. What type of router do you have for wi-fi, and are you familiar with going into it and checking its settings?

    You stated:
After this my wireless network card would see my network but would not connect to it. I can connect to it wired,
I had a problem like this a while ago and I had to go into my device, (in your case the controller or maybe the main PS unit) and re-enter the Security Key.

You should find this Key in the wireless network card's settings.

Other than that you should look into updating that DS_3 driver. The bugcheck does mention motionjoy: Playstation 3 controller(Dualshcok 3 or Sixaxis) driver for windows | MotioninJoy

You might try power cycling your entire system. In this order power down or unplug, PC, Router, Modem. I believe in your case you have a Xfinity wireless access point? If so unplug it, leave things off for one minute and re-power them in the recerse order, Modem/router then first PC on the network.
