Do I have everything I need for a network between 2 PCs?

I have one PC running Windows 7 x64, a second PC running Windows XP, a Raspberry Pi that will run either the Debian OS or XBMC(usually XBMC but I have a second card for Raspbian). I have a Comtrend single-port router/modem and a TP-Link Ethernet switch. I have all 3 devices online with no problem through the switch.

Can I set up a LAN between any 2 computers with this setup? Transferring files from the W7 PC to the XP is a hassle with just a flash drive, and with the way Linux is set up I need to network into either OS for the Pi, because I can't just stick the SD card into my PC and load files onto it that way due to difference in format.

As long as both machines are connected to the same switch and are on the same subnet and workgroup, the above tutorial should work
