Can't connect Windows 7 64-bit laptop to 32-bit main desktop
I have a desktop with Windows 7 32-bit that I have my Netgear28 wifi router plugged into. I've never had problems connecting to my desktop with any of my 4 other laptops or accessing the printer through it. However, I just bought a pawnshop 64-bit Win 7 laptop with all kinds of bloatware on it, including Norton. Can access the internet through the router, and the homegroup says it is connected. I see my main computer fine, but if I try to connect to it or EVEN THE LAPTOP I'M ON through "Network," I get the following:
"Workgroup is not accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."
Cannot access printers attached to the desktop.
However, I can access the laptop from the desktop without any problems, though.
All network settings that I can see on both computers are the same. Firewall is off.
At my wits end. Any more info you want? Thanks in advance.
Note: I have searched the error message and have seen lots of answers, but can't seem to fix it.
