Modem and router connect perfectly, DNS server not responding

Hey, my modem and router connect perfectly to computers, but every time we need to disconnect it for something we need to do, the dns servers stop responding. This happens every single time we reconnecting it. I'm good with computers so I can do about anything you want me to do with it. How do I fix this?

    Welcome to Seven Forums,

Where do you see this message?
    DNS server not responding
When you unplug the modem and router for whatever reason that might be, you're doing power cycle. Sometimes it takes a couple of minutes to have everything booted up and all the computers be connected to the internet.

Whenever i troubleshoot, it gives me the message. This is the second day so far without Internet, so it can't be the power cycle.

I should also note that I have tried almost every tutorial/forum post about this issue and none have worked.

    Just a note.

I know that my cable modem has a real issue with anything connected before it has the chance to boot fully. If I had a computer hooked into the modem, directly, I wouldn't be able to boot the computer until the modem was booted. When my router is hooked up, I have to wait for the modem to boot completely before booting up my router (in this case, I can have the computer booted because the modem does not see it directly).

Please post the results of ipconfig /all on your next post.

I'm sorry, I wish I could do that for you, but I'm on an iPad because I have no Internet on any computers. if there's anything specific like an address or something I could do that. I'm really sorry.

Okay, well, what about the reboot? Try to boot the modem all the way up, then boot your router. Check it, then, to see if that helped.

Are you able to connect when wired directly to the Modem? Is the router separate?

From one of the wired computers please do an ipconfig /all, transfer the output info into a USB flash drive and please find a way to post it here. You may also write then type the info from your iPad.
