    New PC no connections available

    Hi I recently installed windows 7 on a new pc and in the process of trying to connect my old laptop to it have lost the ability to do any kind of networking. Having gone round and round in circles trying different things I thought I'd better ask for help.
    I have an asus pce n15 wireless card and am not currently connected to any ethernet cable, however when running troubleshoot the only two problems detected are;
    'Problem with wireless adapter or access' and
    'A network cable is not properly plugged in and may be broken'.
    I know my wireless card was working before, and it's brand new with the latest drivers so should still be working.
    I'm open to any ideas on resetting the whole thing. If additional information is needed please let me know how to obtain it as I'm giving everything I know how to here. Thanks.

    I've copied the troubleshoot results here.

    How are you intending on connecting to the laptop? Wired or wireless? If wired, you need to make sure you have a crossover cable otherwise communication will not be able to begin.

    Basic Requirements Before Posting your Networking Thread

    Following the steps in the above thread can also help us in determining the cause of your problem

    Many Thanks,
    Josh :)
